SmartNumbers, the next generation voice service provider, has appointed Andrew Bale as Chief Operations Officer. Andrew joined SmartNumbers in October 2005 and previously held the role of Vice President of Operations at the company.
As Chief Operations Officer, Bale will be responsible for the day to day operation of the SmartNumbers business. This includes ensuring the continued high quality and availability of today’s business continuity, flexible working and virtual call centre customer services. Additionally, the development and delivery of new customer services onto the SmartNumbers hosted platform.
“Over the coming months we will introduce unique and exciting new voice services targeted at the business continuity market”, said Andrew Bale, SmartNumber’s new Chief Operations Officer. “We have a tremendous opportunity to exceed our channel and customer communications expectations during 2007. I am very much looking forward to this challenge.”
Bale, who enjoys carving and singing, has worked in the Telecommunications industry since 1985 and has an impressive record of bringing innovative new telephony services to market. He joined SmartNumbers from Avaya where he was Vice President of Global Managed Services across EMEA with responsibility for developments in hosted and managed telephony services. Prior to Avaya, he founded Flexion Systems, a company that developed the world’s first broadband IP-based PBX; and before that he was Chief Technology Officer at 3Com, responsible for the development of 3Com’s Remote Access portfolio, and for bringing Converged solutions to 3Com’s traditional data products.
“Andrew’s experience and expertise in enterprise telephony and managed services has proven invaluable to SmartNumbers as we have built our product and commercial strategies for hosted telephony services” said Geoffrey Paterson, Chief Executive Officer, SmartNumbers. “His new role provides us with a sharper focus on executing this strategy and delivering excellence to our customers”.
